Who we are

This website and the member portal are run by the Tanzania Muslim Students and Youth Association (TAMSYA). Questions about your data: info@tamsya.or.tz.

Visit statistics (our own, no third parties)

To understand which pages are useful we count page views with our own system. No advertising networks or outside analytics services are used, and nothing is sold or shared.

  • No IP addresses are stored. When you open a page we combine your IP address and browser type with a secret code and today's date into a one-way key, then discard the IP address. Because the date is part of it, the key changes every day: we cannot follow an anonymous visitor from one day to the next.
  • No full browser details are stored — only the device type (desktop, mobile or tablet), browser name and operating system.
  • No query strings are stored. Only the page address is kept (for example /donate), never what follows a "?", which can contain reset codes, email addresses or payment references.
  • We keep the page title, the time, and the website you came from (its domain only).
  • When you are signed in to the member portal, your page views are linked to your membership so the association can see how the portal is used.
  • Statistics are kept for 1 year and then deleted automatically.
